Three Athletes To Represent Saginaw At The Star-Telegram's Tomlinson Honors!

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is partnering with former TCU football star and Pro Football Hall of Famer, LaDainian Tomlinson for the inaugural Star-Telegram's Tomlinson Honors.

This event was designed to celebrate and honor high school athletes who have, excelled on the field, have displayed superior character and were outstanding in the classroom. It is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. June 11, 2018 at the Hurst Conference Center in Hurst, TX.

Awards will be given to the year's best players and coaches of the Star-Telegram all-stars teams covering 12 sports. Tomlinson, in partnership with Star-Telegram, will give All-American Honors scholarships exceeding $40,000. Recipients of the All-American Honors award are student-athletes displaying superior character, education and performance during the 2017-18 school year.

"It's a way to honor the best and brightest high school student-athletes, coaches and educators from across the region," Tomlinson told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "Our platform recognizes those who exemplify traits such as character, leadership, courage, integrity, resilience and generosity."

The event will have a red carpet experience with the Star-Telegram's Brian Gosset doing interviews of the student-athletes live on social media, a seated dinner, an exclusive Q&A with LaDainian Tomlinson and more. Additionally, all award winners and scholarship recipients will be given the opportunity to join a meet and greet with Tomlinson at the end of the event.

Player of the Year, Athlete of the Year and Senior of the Year nominees are comprised of the first-team All-Starts in their sport on Start-Telegram.com.

Saginaw High School will send (3) athletes to this event representing the Eagle Mountain - Saginaw ISD Athletic Department. Congratulations to the following nominees:
